After a few metres, the road peters out into a dirt track. Unless you're in a four wheel drive vehicle take it easy and drive slowly as you could break an axle. It's unlikely you will find help easily should you have an accident in this remote spot. The signs are fewer as the road gets wilder so if in doubt go for the widest road. After about 6 miles you will notice a watercourse snaking through eroded stone. Look out for an arch, all that remains of the ruined bridge here. Follow the road that leads towards the water wash the roads away and people have even been killed. . In summer you can drive through the little stram here without difficulty.
